Richard Gallegos Obituary

Richard Gene Gallegos passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023. Richard was born on December 13,1949 in Monte Vista Colorado, to Ella and Jake Gallegos. Richard is survived by his son Richard Gallegos of Grand Junction and his daughter Rene Gonzales-McKnight of Denver, six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. He is survived by two brothers Jake Gallegos and Willie (Francis) Harrell and three sisters Marcella Manis, Lorraine (Paul) Cyr, and Lupe Simmons. He was proceeded in Death by his father Jake Gallegos, mother Ella Simmons, step-father Bill Simmons, brothers; Joe Gallegos, Isaac Gallegos, and Solomon Gallegos, and sisters; Dorothy Gallegos and Lidia Gallegos. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 2pm, True Life Church, 100 Vista Grande Dr., Grand Junction, CO. There will be a potluck dinner in the fellowship hall directly following the service. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 6th at 11am, Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
