Phillip Martinez Guerrero, Jr.

PHILLIP MARTINEZ GUERRERO JR- Phillip M, Guerrero, 68, died unexpectedly June 5, 2022, at his home in Minturn, Colorado. He was born on July 26, 1953, in Pueblo Colorado, the son of Felipe Guerrero and Naomi Guerrero (Valero). 

Phillip met the love of his life, Jennie Martinez, in 1969 and they settled in Minturn, Colorado. 

They celebrated 51 years of marriage in February. Phillip had a thriving career as a Carpet Installer for over 35 years in the Vail Valley. He had a love for muscle cars, fishing, camping, hunting and a passion for cooking, especially his famous burritos. Phillip had a generous heart and a love for his family. If you were in a conversation with Phillip, he would make you feel as if you were the only person in the world that mattered.  

Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Felipe Martinez Guerrero. He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Martinez) Guerrero, children; JoAnn (Corey) Baldwin, Steve (Ana Maria) Guerrero and Neomi (Rogelio) Martinez; 8 grandchildren, Natasha, Jasmine, Tatiana, Gabriel, Ana Mae, Amalia, Mariana and Phillip; Great grandchildren, Ameena, Hayzel, Luke and Willow,  Mother; Naomi (Valero) Guerrero, Siblings; Ernie (Debbie) Guerrero, Stella (Michael) Naranjo, Sarah (Lencho) Barela.  

A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13 at Battle Mountain High School, 0151 Miller Ranch Rd, Edwards, CO. Those who wish to remember Phillip with flowers may go to Colorado Funeral Homes
